OONI-OLUWO: THE MELTING PEACE AS IRAGBERI TURNS CONFLUENCE CITY
Yesterday, Saturday 7th July, was relaxed by over 70 monarchs within Osun State as kings moved to the ancient city of Iragberi in honour of Aragberi who gave her daughter, Princess Hanna in marriage to Joseph Alexander.
The two magnanimous natural paramount rulers, Arole of the source, Ooni of Ife and the Oluwo of Iwoland met again and melt the existing peace. To the amazement of the onlookers, Ooni was honoured to taste and reciprocatedto Oluwo beyond expectation. Luckily but jokingly, apart from the wedding tie, traditional ties were also relieved as monarchs pledged palace visitations to soften the coexistence of traditional institution. According to Ooni " I will visit Oluwo in his palace very soon". Oluwo " Timi of Ede, I am visiting you soon". The hall was rapturous in envy of the understanding among the traditional council.
